These guidelines are for speakers who will be making an oral presentation
at the Congress. They are written for a PowerPoint user, but files created in a similar fashion by other software are acceptable providing they have been saved in a .pdf format. Instructions for those presenting by poster appear at the bottom of this page.
In order for your presentation to appear correctly you need to follow these
instructions for setting up your PowerPoint.
- All presentation screens at the Congress are widescreen, so you should make sure your presentation is set up to display in widescreen format.
- You can set your presentation to 16:9 format by opening PowerPoint, click on the 'design' tab, select 'slides', select 'slides sized for' and select 'on screen show (16:9)'.
- Click here to view more detailed instructions.
For older versions of Powerpoint under 'File', 'page setup' set the 'on-screen show' option to width = 25.4cm, height = 14.29 cm. For one other product where we have had queries we have had feedback that these dimensions have also worked.
Please note that the speaker ready room will be manned to accept presentations from 12:00 to 16:00 on Sunday and from 07:30 to 18:00 Monday to Thursday. If you have any questions or concerns you should contact
