At the World Statistics Congress in Dublin 2011 (August 21 – 26) papers will be presented in 4 main types of session.

Invited paper sessions: Sessions on topics proposed by members of the ISI and its Sections and selected by the Programme Coordinating Committee. They typically consist of 3 invited papers plus invited discussion.

Special Topics Sessions: Sessions on topics proposed by members of the ISI and its Sections and selected by the Programme Coordinating Committee. They typically consist of 5 papers (or 4 papers and a discussant) invited by the organiser of the Session.

Contributed Paper Sessions: Individual papers contributed by members of the ISI and its Sections on a topic of their choice. Speakers will have 15 minutes.

Poster Sessions: Individual posters contributed by members of the ISI and its Sections on a topic of their choice. These will be presented in designated Sessions and Authors will have an opportunity to introduce their poster (2 minutes) and then are expected to be available for a Session to discuss with attendees.
Papers from all sessions (including posters) will appear in the Proceedings of the Congress.
